ELIZABETH OLWEN PATTERNS

The weather is finally getting warm enough for the garden to get growing! I mean aside from the frost warning we had this week. Oh, New England, you always keep us on our toes! Anyways, I love growing fruits and veggies, it's so fun to see your plants grow each day and eventually be able to reap the rewards. These patterns by Elizabeth Olwen are so happy and summery looking. Call me a garden geek, but I would love to have some garden gloves with one of these patterns! Unfortunately, you can't grow ice cream, but that pattern makes me so giddy I just had to include it. This year we're only growing strawberries, but I can't wait for asparagus season. We have the asparagus capital of the world, Hadley, Massachusetts, which I just learned so I can't wait to get to farmers' market. Yay for warm weather, fresh fruits n veggies, and of course ice cream!

DVF x BABY GAP

Diana Von Furstenburg, queen of pattern, just came out with her second collaboration with baby GAP. To say I'm obsessed is seriously an understatement. The clothes themselves are clearly adorable and with these perfect little doll-like models and the giant origami pieces it's just over the top cute. They hit a homerun with this. I wish I had a little friend to dress up, can a dog wear these clothes?... I kid, I kid! You can shop the full collection over on GAP now.

COOL KEDS

As a kid I definitely rocked a fair share of Keds. They were awesome because they were easy to slip on and if they got dirty you could just throw em in the wash. I never would have thought that in my 20's I would want to still rock the same footwear, but Keds is stepping up their game and making some really stylish sneakers with some of my favorite brands, Madewell and Kate Spade. I still love to wear sneakers and with these patterns.. these are irresistible. When the weather is nice it's hard to put away the sandals, these are the perfect alternative! Now... I just need some nice weather.

Ps. Sorry I have been MIA.. I'm starting an Etsy shop so I've been busy designing some cool prints. Coming very soon!

ASHLEY GOLDBERG {PATTERN LOVE}

I am a sucker for a good pattern. When I see a pretty one I either want to wear it or make pillows out of it. Pretty much every pattern Ashley Goldberg creates makes me love her even more. Her patterns are so playful and look effortless. These are four of my faves. Check out her bajillion other patterns over on her Flickr and see if you fall in love with her work too.

HAPPY FRIDAY {PATTERNED & GOLD}

1 Love this A-Thread heart to heart scarf. Clearly, what's not to love.
2 These Gorjana blake gem studs are just my style.
3 Really like the shape of this Madewell camden tote. I could deal with a good polka dot bag too!
4 I can't part with flats as hard as I try. I say if I'm not getting snow in them, who cares?! These ShoeMint Koko flats are so cute for Christmas. Gold dipped toes are never a bad thing.
5 Really like this Rennes pouch and the random spotted pattern. It looks like the sky inverted.

CHECK IT OUT!

Louis Vuitton is a brand that always catches my attention. Marc Jacobs is really a creative genius. The Spring 2013 show got people seeing double, literally. He sent models down escalators in pairs wearing complimentary styles. How cool?! I love the 60's mod vibe, especially the beehive hairdos. Marc Jacobs can really put on a show!

BEACHY SCENE

This is some of the most awe inspiring photography I have seen in a while. Photographer Gray Malin shot this series of photos titled A La Plage, A La Piscine, from doorless helicopters all around the world. How insane and awesome is that?! Talk about going above and beyond! Malin describes this series as "from above, a simple beach or pool becomes a blank canvas that allows me to start seeing the world as art. People and objects become patterns creating repetition, shape and form." He calls the photos a celebration of color, light, shape, and summer bliss. Whenever I am at the beach I think how neat it must look from above, now I know, and it's so gorgeous. What a seriously original and amazing series of photographs. Take a look at his site to be even more amazed! Select prints are available for purchase here.

MADEWELL {FALL 2012}

Madewell just put out a sneak peak of their Fall 2012 line. They have crazy styling and I don't know that all their looks are really practical for everyday for everyone, but I love how they mix and match patterns and colors. They really aren't afraid of clashing and I appreciate that! Here are six looks that I think really embody the trends that are going on. I'm really into the monochromatic look and the look that mixes stripes and leopard! Would you wear these or any of Madewell's other looks this fall? Check out the rest of the lookbook here.

LOUIS VUITTON x YAYOI KUSAMA

I don't think it's a big secret I love polka dots, and I'm not the only one! Louis Vuitton is getting dotty with Yayoi Kusama, the polka dot princess. Marc Jacobs, Creative Director of Louis Vuitton has collaborated with Kusama to create the new line of clothing and accessories called Infinity Dots Collection for Louis Vuitton. The first installment of the collaboration debut Tuesday at Louis Vuitton stores and a second collection will be available in August at Selfridges.

The lookbook reminds me of this post I did, I love pattern on pattern. I really love the video as well. It's so happy and loose feeling just like polka dots are. You can see the complete lookbook and the full collection here. In honor of the new products, Louis Vuitton also created some dotty displays for the brand's flagship store in Manhattan on Fifth Avenue. You can check out some images here of the store and the opening. So flashy! Very cool collaboration.

PRETTY TIGHT {TIGHTS}

Patternity makes this amazing line of tights inspired by patterns they find around them. I love the geometric patterns and those Bauhaus tights are so fab! They have a blog of images that inspire them that's pretty awesome too. Would you wear these?
