LOVE LIST 10

TOP 1 Academy x Leif necklace / 2 Calypso St. Barth pillow / 3 Madewell cargo shirt
MIDDLE 4 Amy Blackwell print / 5 Zara sandals
6 KS Saturday passport holder / 7 Mansur Gavriel tote / 8 Chanel polish iPhone case

This week I'm craving nudes and beiges with pops of oranges and pinks. It reminds me of a vibrant sunset, and I love nothing more than that. That passport holder is pretty important because if I ever want to see the sunset, I either need to get out of dodge or the sun needs to come out! Oh well, such is life, I guess dancing is puddles is pretty fun too. Happy Friday everyone!

PINK LAKE {STEVE BACK}

When I first saw photos of Pink Lake, I really thought it was photoshopped. I have since discovered this surreal place is very real. These photos by Steve Back are so incredible they look like modern paintings. I would really love to see this amazingness in person and see if it is as beautiful in person.

THE PANTONE PROJECT {PAUL OCTAVIOUS}

Photographer Paul Octavious has taken on the challenge of finding things in his everyday life to match every Pantone color. These photos look amazing and he is doing a great job finding matches! I can't wait to see more, you can follow him on Instagram to see more of this project and other really inspiring photography. Good luck to Paul, this seems like quite the challenge.

PANTONE PAIRS

There are some things that just go together. Someone says salt and you immediately pass it along with the pepper. You go to a mexican restaurant and order chips and just expect the salsa. It feels wrong having one without the other. Designer Dschwen is capturing these perfect pairs with his pantone swatches and it's pretty awesome. I'll take the cake and ice cream swatches please!

BRITT BASS PAINTINGS

Some people love abstract art and others hate it. I for one love it. The key is you really can't try to understand it. It's all about emotion. How do you feel when you see it? I recently discovered Britt Bass' work. It it so cheery and just makes me feel happy. Picture one of these hanging on a crisp white wall. Not only will it brighten up the room, but every time you see it your day will be brighter. The best part of it all is you can own these prints of her paintings for just $30 from her Etsy shop. I guess you can buy happiness!

THE GREAT CATERING COMPANY

This might be some of the coolest branding ever for The Great Catering Company. Understanding that creating food is an organic and creative process itself, Strategy used food to create beautiful watercolor-like textures as the base of the branding. The results are not only visually appealing, but they help convey that The Great Catering Company is more than just service and food, it is an art form and experience. I absolutely love the idea behind this so much. Talk about really understanding the client and the message they wanted to convey. I have heard of using food as natural dye and after seeing what vibrant colors fruits and vegetables can create this makes me want to experiment!

KISSHIONS

Check out these Kisshions by Room39. I love everything about these. Neon colors, metallic speckle print, and thick metallic piping. What's not to love? Look what a little neon and pattern can do for a simple chair. Give me one of each please!

LULIE WALLACE

The winter can really be a real downer. Why not bring some nature inside as a little pick-me-up? One of my favorite artists is Lulie Wallace. She paints the most stunning florals. I love how bright and cheerful they are. I mean how could you have the winter blues looking at one of these? Best of all you don't have to water this! I dream of having one of these paintings over a campaign chest. I'll take this entire scene.

ASHLEY GOLDBERG {PATTERN LOVE}

I am a sucker for a good pattern. When I see a pretty one I either want to wear it or make pillows out of it. Pretty much every pattern Ashley Goldberg creates makes me love her even more. Her patterns are so playful and look effortless. These are four of my faves. Check out her bajillion other patterns over on her Flickr and see if you fall in love with her work too.

JENNY BOWERS {HOLIDAY ILLUSTRATIONS}

I'm a big fan of Jenny Bowers illustration and her most recent work makes me love her even more. She created these colorful holiday decorations for Bloomingdales. I love simple illustrations like these. She makes it look so easy!

MISCELLANEOUS MONDAY 12.10

1 It's the year of the pom pom! This pom pom garland by the amazing Ashley G is so fun. Perfect for a unique holiday decoration that you could keep up year round. Reminds me of this anthropologie scarf which I looove the colors of.
2 Speaking of the year of... the Pantone color of the year for 2013 is Emerald Pantone 17-5641. Be on the lookout for everything in this hot hue next year. Pantone's color of the year influences just about everything. I'm feeling it!
3 I want this cake and I want it now! I must be craving cake, but seriously, how clever is that frosting job? Definitely doing this!
4 These boot stuffers from the Jessie Randall, creative director of the Loeffler Randall, are such an amazing idea and really cute if you have to leave your shoes in plain view. After all it is the year of the pom pom like I said, right? These will help your boots keep their shape and stand up straight and look tidy. Win!

APPRECIATE. {ZOE PAWLAK}

I stumbled upon Zoe Pawlak's work on Pinterest and immediately wanted to see more. The way she sees landscapes is how I wish we all viewed the world. Rather, how I wish the world actually looked. So serene and tranquil looking. I would love to own a piece of her art, just to gaze into when feeling stressed or needing a break.

J.Crew never ceases to amaze me. I always look forward to their new catalog to see what they are mixing up. They are color obsessed like myself and their color combos are always so unique. I always feel so inspired after looking at it. Check out these palettes from their new line of coats. Obsessed. Also slightly in love with almost all the coats themselves! Swoon. If you can't have all these looks, why not have all the colors! You can download them from COLOURlovers.

APPRECIATE. {JOE MANGRUM}

Joe Mangrum creates these jaw dropping sand paintings to act as vibrant catalyst in social interactions. He uses the street as his canvas and transforms the area into a live stage of sorts. He has created work for private collectors, Coachella, Jen Kao for fashion week, and the city of San Francisco. This is probably some of the most unique art I have ever seen. I would love to just stumble upon one of his works and hear the dialogue between others. The skill he has in unbelievable, to be able to create something so detailed, so spontaneously, is truly incredible. The colors are all so vibrant and the forms look so well thought out. I wouldn't even attempt this, sandart at the local fair is as far as I'll go!

GREEN & YELLOW {TAKE THE RED}

Truth be told, you will probably never find me watching an award show, but that definitely does not mean I don't love a good red carpet event. I always love to see what the stars are wearing and of course always tune in to fashion police after! This year of course I noticed how beautiful some of the dresses were, but what really grabbed me was the popularity of these two colors. Two of my favorites. Minty green and ultra bright yellow. Very flattering colors on all of these ladies, they all look radiant. Two award winning colors! What color would you hit the red carpet in?

FALLING FOR THESE...

Sometimes finding a pair of sneakers for cooler weather that I really love can be hard for me. I stumbled upon these EF trainers by Emerson Fry on Pinterest. I really love both color ways, the mocha & fuchsia and fawn & fuchsia. Perfect for cooler weather and still very stylish.

TRENDY FEET {BOLD SOLE}

Splendid | 2 Splendid | Anthropologie | Forever 21 | DV by Dolce Vita

A while back I posted about my love of colored soles on men's shoes and how I would love the trend to hit women's footwear. Alas! Colored soles on oxfords just for us! and just in time for cooler weather. Would you any of wear these?
