PANTONE PAIRS

There are some things that just go together. Someone says salt and you immediately pass it along with the pepper. You go to a mexican restaurant and order chips and just expect the salsa. It feels wrong having one without the other. Designer Dschwen is capturing these perfect pairs with his pantone swatches and it's pretty awesome. I'll take the cake and ice cream swatches please!

IZZIYANA SUHAIMI

How awesome is this art by Izziyana Suhaimi? She embroiders her drawings! So cool and it adds a whole other dimension to her work. It almost brings the pieces to life.

ANNABEL INGALL BAGS

It's love and it's with a line a purses. I'm okay with that. I am so picky when it comes to finding a bag I like so when I stumbled upon Annabel Igall yesterday I was so excited to see an entire line I loved.  I mean they come in neons and metallics. They are practically calling my name. From the big tote to the small crossbody, they are all flawless. I love the simplicity. Put these on the top of my must have list!

JESSICA HISCHE LETTERS

Jessica Hische is, in my opinion, one of the most talented artists. She creates the most amazing hand lettering and illustrations. Her clients include Tiffany & Co., Victoria's Secret, Nike, and The New York Times, just to name a few. Lucky for us she also has an online shop. She just stocked the shop with a new set of letterpress prints for us to swoon over. Each print is 8x8 and is signed and numbered by Jessica. Their are only 100 of each letter so grab them while their hot off the press!

BRITT BASS PAINTINGS

Some people love abstract art and others hate it. I for one love it. The key is you really can't try to understand it. It's all about emotion. How do you feel when you see it? I recently discovered Britt Bass' work. It it so cheery and just makes me feel happy. Picture one of these hanging on a crisp white wall. Not only will it brighten up the room, but every time you see it your day will be brighter. The best part of it all is you can own these prints of her paintings for just $30 from her Etsy shop. I guess you can buy happiness!

NICK KNIGHT FLORA

Valentine's Day wouldn't be Valentine's Day without some flowers! So here ya go, straight from artist and photographer Nick Knight. He spent a decade creating these masterpieces that are part of his series entitled Flora. Each piece was started as a still life photograph inspired by the 16th century. The end results, vibrant painting-like pieces that look as though they are melting. He creates these unique hybrids by carefully exposing the prints to heat and water during the printing process. Pretty surreal and incredible huh? I'll take one of these please.

5 UNDER 50 {D'ORSAY FLATS}

1 LuLu's dolley d'orsay pointed flats / 2 Forever21 metallic t-strap flats
3 Modcloth bright as aire / 4 Forever21 d'orsay pointed toe flats / 5 Need Supply olivia flats

I swear the more snow falls the more my feet itch to get out (figuratively of course) and the new styles of flats popping up are definitely not helping! Especially the D'Orsay style. I originally saw this rainbow of D'Orsays by Jenni Kayne on The Coveteur, then saw the price tags. I loved the style, but with the lowest price being $395, I set out to find some just a little cheaper. So here are 5 under $50. As soon as the snow melts I plan on slipping some of these on! What do you think, D'Orsay or don't?

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY

Valentine's Day is tomorrow! I wanted to share some of my favorite heart-themed links. All of this adds up to my ideal day on any given day, not just Valentine's day. A little sparkle on my hands and walls, some waffles (with prosciutto, get outta here!), a cute card, and a cupcake to top it all off! It's love for sure!

PRINTS FROM RIFLE PAPER CO.

I absolutely love Rifle Paper Co. I feel like everything they put out is perfection. They could put a blob of paint on paper and call it a print and I would be all over it. I just started a pin board on Pinterest called print wishlist. I love a good gallery wall and hope to eventually have an amazing one, but for some reason I never took the time to bookmark my favorites for the future. These three are definitely on that list. Anna Bond you are fabulously talented!

With Valentine's Day coming up it seemed fitting to feature girly shades and of course some hearts on the Love List this week. So, here's some pretty little things I love this week. I will not be featuring Friday Links this week, I am rethinking that category, but perhaps being snowed in I will come up with something new and fun! Happy weekend and be safe if you are getting hit by Nemo!

JOEL PENKHAM {FOODIE PAINTINGS}

I saw this donut painting a while back and was immediately obsessed. I am so excited to discover the man behind the donuts, Joel Penkham. He specializes in painting food, and clearly he has some serious talent. Best of all you can buy a donut print and some other delicious prints on Etsy. Zero calorie eats, perfect for that art craving!

EXPOSED CLOSETS

Imagine life without closets or storage? Yikes! Where would we throw all of our junk or outfits we decided didn't look good today. I'm pretty neat, but that's one thing I'm definitely guilty of. I often think I'd be better off without. I would be doomed to closet organization and gasp, actually hanging things back up! I have been obsessing over exposed closets lately. They just look so neat! It would be like you had your own little boutique and everything would have to be just so. Could you handle your closet being on display?

THE GREAT CATERING COMPANY

This might be some of the coolest branding ever for The Great Catering Company. Understanding that creating food is an organic and creative process itself, Strategy used food to create beautiful watercolor-like textures as the base of the branding. The results are not only visually appealing, but they help convey that The Great Catering Company is more than just service and food, it is an art form and experience. I absolutely love the idea behind this so much. Talk about really understanding the client and the message they wanted to convey. I have heard of using food as natural dye and after seeing what vibrant colors fruits and vegetables can create this makes me want to experiment!
