2012 is all about color! Here are some of my favorite spring/summer 2012 ad campaigns entirely based on color. They are all so beautiful and happy looking. Color never went away, but bright bold colors are back in style and I really hope they never go away. Have you noticed all the campaigns on color? What does she make? Lovely detailed watercolor illustrations

Who does she make this for? Caitlin worked as a textile designer for Ralph Lauren and now works independently. She has done work for Kate Spade New York, Hermes, & Tory Burch. Pretty impressive!

Thoughts... I absolutely love watercolor, it is one medium I have never played around with. Her work makes me really want to try my hand at it. I'm sure I wouldn't be this skilled, but I would love to have a quarter of her talent. You can see more of her work here and check out her blog here. I think some of her best work is on her blog. It's really neat to see the work she creates for fun, seems when you are having fun you create the best work!

I love nothing more than sandal season. Seriously. If you are a constantly wearing flip flops, give them a rest and dress your look up with some stylish sandals. They come in just about every color and so many styles now, why not? I really love pinterest, I think it's a great way to discover new things. I pin often, and sometimes I see trends in the mood & the colors of things I am pinning. Summer is a time for fun in the sun! Some time at the pool, a day at the beach, & a nice run to get in shape for all of that. Here are some of my summer must haves for fun & fitness! I can't wait for some nice weather and sunshine!

FUN MEETS FITNESS

In the spirit of colorful running, the most colorful 5k around, Color Me Rad. You begin the run with a white t-shirt and throughout the run you are coated with blue, green, pink, purple, and yellow. When you finish the race you look tie-dyed from head to toe. This is a 5k I could get into! Boston will be colored rad on July 15th and will also be coloring 24 other cities.

I'm in serious need of a new pair of running shoes. I really love that even shoes come in so many bright colors now. I have never been into white athletic shoes so I love all of these black and grey shoes with punches of color.

Music is something I am really passionate about. I listen to so many different genres and sometimes I become obsessed with listening to a certain artist or group. Right now, I am really into Gotye. Bright eyes and Wilco are always two of my go to groups, always on my playlist. When artists and groups I love have really awesome gig posters it is the ultimate awesome for me, music and pixels! How great are these? I would hang any and all of these up in really great frames- some music for my eyes!

Beautiful palettes of color are all around us if we just stop to notice. These three colorful places clearly have amazing colors in them, but would you notice if you were just walking by? If you stop to take a look at the scenery once and a while you will realize just how brilliant the colors around you are. Look around, and be inspired.

I have been seeing the revival of canvas sneakers lately and even more slip on sneakers without laces. I myself love to wear sandals and flats, so this is a great alternative for a more laid back look. Slip some on to get in this trend!

TREND WATCH {STUDS}

It seems like everywhere I look I see studs. Studded everything. Sneakers, shorts, pants, coats, collars, bags, you name it! It's interesting because studding used to be very "punk" and now it is coming back, but as more of a shiny stylish element. It can be seen in street wear and in high end fashion brands. The best past is you can even stud things yourself.
